The cosmograph Daytona symbolizes Rolex’s expertise, combining precision timing with reliable performance. Rolex engineers have been designing and developing calibre 4130 for many years, and by 2023 it will be successfully modified into calibre 4131. An upgraded version of Calibre 4131, Type 4132, was also introduced in the same year. This movement, which consists of a few parts, has been efficient and robust since its inception.
On the one hand, the simplified structure frees up more space for the barrel and provides a power reserve of approximately 72 hours. On the other hand, the vertical clutch ensures that the chronograph remains precise over long periods of time. This is complemented by the excellent performance of the Chronergy escapement and Parachrom hairspring.
